| 内容記述 | This paper focuses on the concept of reading in Japanese language education textbooks which use Natume Soseki’s novel, Kokoro as a media text. The current model of media literacy in Japanese language education focuses on these textbooks for reading classes. However students can develop a deeper understanding of the main themes in texts if they have some proficiency in media literacy. Several textbooks are considered individually, and I analyse how the differences in each textbook affect the reading of learners, and how learners get different perspectives from the textbooks in comparison to original text. | |||||
