| 内容記述 | 本稿は平成25年７月20日に新潟大学で開催された第10回新潟放射線治療技術懇話会においてAAPM（American Association of Physicists in Medicine）の発行したTG-114 reportについて筆者が発表した内容をまとめたものである。TG-114 reportでは放射線治療におけるMU（monitor unit）独立検証の意義，方法，結果の判定基準，具体例などが詳細に述べられており，日本の放射線治療に関わる我々にとっても重要な内容である。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The AAPM（American Association of Physicists in Medicine）TG-114 report: “Verification of monitorunit calculations for non-IMRT clinical radiotherapy” is reviewed. The report addresses re-evaluation the purpose and methods of the independent monitor unit verification for conventional radiation therapy in light of the complexities of modern-day treatment planning. The report also provides recommendations on establishing action levels for agreement between primary calculations and verification, and guidance in addressing discrepancies outside the action levels. The report is full of important suggestions for Japanese professionals in radiation oncology. | |||||
