| 内容記述 | The purpose of this article is to clarify the definition of terrorism, terrorist organizations and extremism in accordance with the legal provisions of member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization framework as a whole. Today, extremism and terrorism in all their forms pose a huge threat to humanity. Due to that reason, analysis of this issue is necessary for understanding why some organizations in the SCO member states are acknowledged as terrorist or extremist states, but are not added to the terrorist organization list of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO RATS). In addition, the author analyses the progress and transformation of the legal basis for cooperation in the field of combating terrorism and extremism within the SCO framework. Moreover, the author emphasizes the need to continue developing and implementing effective measures taken by the international community in the field of countering terrorism, especially within the SCO security cooperation. | |||||
