内容記述 | Single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) using N-isopropyl-p-[^<123>I] iodoamphetamine (IMP) studies were performed on 17 patients (23-77 yrs) with cerebrovascular diseases and 10 age-matched normal controls. Regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) was quantitatively measured by a microsphere model, and a relationship between rCBF in ischemic lesions and the redistribution phenomenon on delayed SPECT image was analyzed. Supratentorial mean CBF and a gray-to-white matter ratio of normal subjects were 52.7±5.0ml/100g/min and 2.34, respectively. Low activity areas of ischemic lesions on early IMP SPECT were classified into two abnormal zones, an infarct area and a peri-infarct area. These regions were characterized by rCBF averaging 9~20ml/100g/min, and 25~40ml/100g/min, respectively. The redistribution, which was hardly observed in the infarct area, was markedly enhanced in the peri-infarct area. The data indicates that the redistribution depends on maintenance of a minimal blood flow that would sustain cellular function. | |||||
