Although the establishment of the Inspection Panel is an important step in moving toward the transparency of World Bank operations and the Bank\u0027s accountability for it\u0027s role regarding them and ultimately toward improved project quality at the Bank, there are several problems in the Inspection Panel process. This paper focuses on problems of the Inspection Panel process regarding the Request for Inspection which alleged non-compliance by the Bank with its policies in relation to NTPC Power Generation Project in Singrauli, India, and the Panel\u0027s investigation report.
