| 内容記述 | This study aimed to verify the process of facial expression recognition by examining the effect of PMS on the evaluation of facial expressions stimuli during the menstrual cycle. The results of the ANOVA did not confirm the presence or absence of PMS and the influence of the menstrual cycle stage on the type of facial expression and emotion evaluation. There was a negative correlation between interpersonal/anger factors and arousal scores for facial expressions of disgust and sadness. Additionally, negative correlations were found between the valence scores for neutral expressions, the total PMDD scores, and the valence scores for female expressionlessness. The results also highlight a tendency of the participants who scored high on the interpersonal/anger factor to evaluate a neutral facial expression, especially female, as pleasant. The analysis regarding facial expression recognition accuracy showed that participants with PMS were more accurate in recognizing facial expressions of sadness during the luteal phase. The results also revealed that the recognition accuracy of facial expressions of anger increased during the luteal phase for all participants. | |||||
