Soddy developed theories on economics and economic policy from the viewpoint of natural science. We discuss the theory on energy and its source, resource use by human beings and relationship with the economic society. In addition, the actual history of nuclear energy development predicted by Soddy, related theories of the incorporation of sunlight energy through chlorophyll and the flow of energy in ecology and ecological economics are discussed.
