| 内容記述 | Five cases of accidental swallowing were treated in our clinic in the years from July 1989 to October 2001. Five patients, consisted of four females and one male, were adults of ages from 45 to 70 years old (average; 62 years old). Post crowns were swallowed in 2 cases, and an onlay, a fractured tooth and a temporary bridge were in each of the other 3 cases, respectively, during eating or taking medicines at home (3 cases) and having dental treatment at some dental clinics (2 cases). Other clinical symptoms were not observed. In all cases, the swallowed foreign bodies located in gastrointestinal tracts, which was evidenced by X-ray examination in 3 cases. Endocsopy was performed in two cases. One of the swallowed foreign bodies was removed by endoscopical procedure, and three passed naturally through intestinal tracts within two days, but in one case was not confirmed the passing. Accidental swallowing should be recognized as serious dental troubles, especially if foreign bodies were swallowed into respiratory tracts/lungs. | |||||

| 内容記述 | 平成元年7月より平成13年10月までに当科で経験した歯科的異物誤嚥の5例につき検討した｡男性1人、女性4人で、年齢は45歳から78歳で平均62歳であった。 異物の種類は、継続歯が2例、アンレーが1例、破折歯が1例、暫間ブリッジが1例であった｡誤嚥の発生状況は、3例が自宅にて食事中もしくは薬服用時に、2例は歯科診療中に生じていた。 5例とも自覚症状は特になかった。いずれも消化管内異物であり、胸部または腹部レントゲン写真を撮影し、 3例で異物を認めた｡2例は内科医に内視鏡検査を依頼した｡1例で内視鏡下に胃内異物除去を行い、4例は自然排出を待って経過観察とし、そのうち1例は未確認だが、 3例では2日後に自然排出された｡歯科的誤嚥は、特に気管内に誤嚥した場合には深刻な問題となりうることを、十分認識しておかなければならない｡ | |||||
