This organism, because of the absence of a cell wall, is quite resistance to β-lactam antibiotics. The antimicrobial thearapy agaist mycoplasma infection should be used EM, JM, MDK, MINO, DOXY, or TC. Bacterial meningitis is the most seriously disease in childhood. A meningitis of first some months baby is usually caused by E.coli, proteus sp. or S.aureus, and that of child from 3 months up caused by H.influenzae, S.pneumoniae, other streptococcus sp. Antibiotics at the initial therapy should be used third generation cephalosporin. Mumps previaled in Niigata prefecture at last year. Aseptic meningitis was the most frequently observed complication associated with mumps. In 400 mumps patients, clinical menigitis were 16 cases and 3 patients were encephalitis. They had a benign clinical course. Campylobacter infection causes acute gastroenteritis. C.jejuni was isolated from 8 patients of gastroenteritis for last one year. Usually patients had diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps. The stool contain blood or mucus. Pathogenic organism was isolated almost exclusively from fresh stool samples using selective media. Isolated strains are susceptible in vitro to mumerous antibiotics except cephalosporins.
