内容記述 | Glucose kinetics studies using 6-^3H-glucose, and measurements of serum concentration of free fatty acid and total ketone body were performed in both sham operated and 70% hepatectomized dogs. Serum glucose level was maintained 24 hours after hepatectomy by 240% increase of gluconeogenic activity of remnant liver, rather than decrease of glucose utilization of peripheral tissue. Glucose utilization of hepatectomized dogs was more enhanced than that of sham operated dogs 120 hours after the operation. In both hepatectomized group and sham operated group, a significant linear correlation between serum concentration of free fatty acid and total ketone body was found. The molecular ratio of total ketone body to free fatty acid in dogs received hepatectomy was significantly smaller than that of sham operated dogs. The results of present study-particularly, the data of hepatic glucose production rate determined by the glucose kinetics measurement-suggested that intravenous administration of 2.1~2.6mg/kg/min of glucose is the sufficient amount immediately after hepatectomy in dogs. Present study also indicated that the decreased molecular ratio of total ketone body to free fatty acid is partly due to the increased utilization of ketone bodies. | |||||
