A clinico-statistical study of new outpatients during the 5 years from 2011 to 2015 was performed, and the results were compared with the data from the previous 5 years (2006 to 2010). The results were as follows: 1. The number of new outpatients was 10,056 in the last 5 years. Compared with the previous 5 years, the number increased by 14.1%. 2. From 2012, the number of patients over 60 years old continued to increase. In contrast, the number of patients under 60 years old remained stable. 3. The number of the patients from the Chuetsu area accounted for 97.0%: the number from Nagaoka City was 6,286 (62.5%) and from the Chuetsu area excluding Nagaoka City was 3,473 (34.5%). 4. The number of referral patients increased gradually in the last 5 years, and the referral rate was 85.6% in 2015. 5. Patients with dental disease were most common, and the number increased. The number of patients with oral and maxillofacial disease remained around 700 annually. These results indicated that our department might play an important role in the management of oral and maxillofacial disease in the Chuetsu area because the referral rate was increasing and the demand for specialized medical services for oral and maxillofacial disease was stable. In addition, acceptance of cases requiring perioperative oral management from the medical department influenced this survey greatly. It was, therefore, concluded that a further enhancement of the collaboration with the general dentists and the medical department is important. |

2011年1月から2015年12月の5年間における長岡赤十字病院歯科口腔外科の新患患者について臨床統計的検討を行うとともに，2006年1月から2010年12月の5年間のデータと比較し，以下の結果を得た。1.対象期間中の新患総数は10,056名で，過去5年間から14.1%増加していた。2.年齢別では，2012年以降，60歳以上が増加した一方，60歳未満に大きな増減はなかった。3.居住地別では，中越地区が97.0%を占めており，その内訳は長岡市が6,286名(62.5%)，長岡市以外の中越地区が3,473名(34.5%)であった。4.紹介率は年々増加し，2015年には85.6%に達した。5.疾患別では，歯の疾患が最も多く，年々増加していた。いわゆる口腔外科疾患は各年700名程度と安定していた。以上の結果，中越地区全域からの紹介が増加し，かつ高度な専門性を要する疾患は一定数が維持されていたことから，当科は中越地区における病院歯科口腔外科の拠点として機能しているものと思われた。また，年齢分布や院内紹介の増加から周術期口腔機能管理症例の増加が大きく影響しているものと考えられ，今後も病診連携, 医科歯科連携の強化が重要と考えられた。 |
