内容記述 In this study, the question of how middle-school students can generate scientific questions is examined through observations of science lessons. A total of 19 lessons were observed and analyzed. The results showed that in 18 lessons, the question was not generated by students, but presented by the teacher. Also, the results indicated that the scientific ideas involved in the topic made it difficult for students to generate meaningful questions. Four instructional strategies that can help the situation are presented and discussed.
