博士後期課程の入学者数の確保は，研究室というミクロなレベルから国家というマクロなレベルでの研究力の向上に重要であるが，有効な施策が打ち出されているとは言い難い．そこで本研究では，博士学生の進学における教員の研究業績に着目し，新潟大学大学院自然科学研究科において過去10年間で多くの博士学生が入学している教員にはどのような特徴があるのか分析を行った．具体的には，過去10年間の博士後期課程の受け持ち学生数で四分位ごとに教員をQ1からQ4にグループ分けし，科研費獲得の件数及び金額と論文数及び被引用指標をグループごとに集計した．その結果，より多くの博士後期課程学生が入学した教員のグループ（Q1）の各研究業績の中央値は，少なかったグループ（Q3-4）の中央値の1.5倍以上であることが明らかになった．得られた結果をもとに，博士後期課程学生の確保に向けた適切な制度設計を目指す． |

It is important to increase the number of students enrolled in the doctoral program not only in small organizations such as laboratories but also in large organizations as the nation. However, it is difficult to claim that effective measures have been put in place. In this study, we focused on the research achievements of faculty members in the entrance of doctoral students into the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Niigata University, and investigated the characteristics of faculty members who have enrolled many doctoral students in the past 10 years. Faculty members were grouped into Q1 to Q4 according to the quartile of the number of students in the doctoral program in the past 10 years, and the number and amount of grants received, the number of publications, and the index of citations were summarized for each group. The results showed that the median research performance of Q1 group was more than 1.5 times higher than that of Q3-Q4 group. Based on the results obtained, we aim to design an appropriate system for attracting doctoral program. |
