| 内容記述 | Clinical features and postoperative outcome of 42 patients with infective endocarditis were reviewed, and a reformed strategy for surgical management was discussed, Subject included patients who underwent surgery between 1980 and 1996 at Niigata University Hospital. Localized valve infection was easily treated with surgery whether having acute inflamation or not. Cerebrospinal complication occurred during infective process required a careful and intensive care including prevention of hemorrhagic complications and surgical management of mycotic aneurysm. Aortic periannular abscess was serious problem requiring annular reconstruction and complete sterilization using antibiotic therapy, For intractable IE, acute or subacute surgical intervention should be recommended, and complete structural reconstruction and intensive antibiotic therapy should be considered. | |||||
