The university must be a place where all students and staff can show their personality and potentiality to the full extent, irrespective of gender, based on a principle of Basic Act for Gender-Equal Society. In order to move this commitment forward specifically, the Gender Equality Office was launched under the direct command of President. The office has two fundamental tasks: work-life balance support and fostering the next generation of female researchers. Shindai-Sitter, specially trained students who received certification from the university, is one of the specific support systems to provide a research environment which enables staff members to balance work and childcare. Additionally, as part of measures to provide an environment where researchers can balance raising a child and conduct research without suffering a setback in their work, a supporting research staff will be provided eight hours a week.}, pages = {649--653}, title = {1 新潟大学における男女共同参画の取組み(シンポジウム 各診療科における男女共同参画への取組みの現状, 第680回新潟医学会)}, volume = {127}, year = {2013} }
