The choice of grammatical constructions may reflect a conceptualizer's construal of event structure. A cognitive linguistic approach can explain why we describe active event structures through passive constructions, in terms of both focus and salience vis-à-vis the participants who organize conceptual structures. By means of this approach, a unified motivation for the construal of the causal structure can be demonstrated through a comparative analysis of passive expressions in Russian, English, and Japanese. Also, I will claim that action schema as a linguistic unit can function through different levels of abstraction.}, pages = {107--123}, title = {ロシア語受動構文による事象の概念化に関する考察}, volume = {1}, year = {2010} }
