After he argued with the teachers of the elementary school, he began to use the word "education" in his essays about 'doyo'. And gradually, the part of the word became more important. At one time, I wrote the thesis in which I examined the word "education" in the essay "Doyo Jikkou (The Ten Lectures about the children's songs)" written by Noguchi Ujo. But in the essay, he says that he couldn't refer to the education enough though he wanted to emphasize that. And after that, he wrote another essay "Doyo to Jido no Kyouiku (The Children's Songs and the Education of the elementary school pupils). So, in this thesis, I examine the word "education" in the essay. He thought that pupils must be educated not only physically but also mentally. For that, he recognized "doyo" was important. Because it could lead pupils to good personality, and it could let adults understand children's feeling.
