 note = {In Japan, many cases of adoptions involve the adoption of adult persons. The purposes of these adoptions are various, one, in particular, concerning matters of family succession. The most important effects of adult adoption are the duty of support someone adopted person, the right of succession, and the change of name of an adoptee. Adoption cases whose main purpose is to change the adopted person's name have recently become a social issue. From such a context, a proposal to restrict has been presented to the Ministry of Justice since 2001. It demands to install the restriction of adult adoption to Civil Code from the Ministry of Justice. However, this proposed legal restriction has some difficult problems. This paper will examine the issues concerning the restriction of adult adoptions.},
