It is believed that the same word in the form of a verb refers to the act of undertaking an adventurous risk of planning, especially in the case of a dangerous enterprise However, the term "venture" is also used in Japanese English. Similarly, there exists a term called “venture capital”; however, it is used for referring to financial resources that portray venture businesses as being a speculative activity. Although the challenge of a new enterprise or of developing a new technology is accompanied by a risk, it also includes the act of honestly carrying out the measures pertaining to risk avoidance, which is an aspect of venture business. Based on the Japanese translation, it is not sufficient to only emphasize the characteristics of risk exposure, but it is also necessary to make them correspond to all venture businesses. UETAX, Inc. (Joetsu-city, Niigata) is a venture business specializing in the development of a unique underwater sound system. A writer incorporates the mechanism of reducing a risk and the company notes the fact that he undertook the enterprise honestly against the background of innovative technology. This clearly differs from the typical image of old venture businesses. I discuss the success factor in this paper according to the ground reality rather than from the myth of a venture business. Thus, I introduce the core technology of Uetax, Inc., i.e., the underwater sound technology, along with the company itself in this paper.}, pages = {121--131}, title = {ベンチャー型メーカーが生き残る要件の一考察 : リスクを抑制し成功を支える取り組み}, volume = {40}, year = {2007} }
