 note = {There was a sea route between Niigata and North Korea from 1935 to 1945. Most previous researches concerning this sea route assesse economical and institutional aspects. Then, the passengers of this sea route are mostly analyzed to be immigrants for agricultural work to Manchukuo. Therefore, these studies did not explore the other object of the passengers. This paper examines the actual condition of the passengers during this period by using past materials such as local newspaper, memorials and a variety of journals.},
