 note = {This paper examines trends of income differentials among regions in the Autonomous Province of Inner Mongolia in China, based on data by regions. There are not a few studies on income differentials among regions in China, but most of them are focusing on income differentials among Provinces. As in China, even each Province is a big economy corresponding to a country in the world, it would not be relevant to take that a Provincial economy is homogeneous. However, a very few studies have focused on a Province in China. There has been no study on income differentials within the Autonomous District of lnner Mongolia. Therefore, it is necessary to study income differentials within Inner Mongolia. Based on statistical data, this paper makes a quantitative analysis of the present situations of income differentials among regions wihin Inner Mongolia and their trends. The results of this analysis are as follows: According to changes of Gini coefficient, there has been a tendency of increasing differentials of per capita income among regions within Inner Mongolia during a long period between 1987 and 2006. Compared with income differentials among Provinces in China as a whole, income differentials among regions within Inner Mongolia in terms of per capita GDP, net revenue per rural inhabitant and disposable income per urban inhabitant were smaller in the earlier period, but the differentials have been increasing at a faster pace during the later period(see Table-5).},
