 note = {This is a study of bamboo poems in Chinese made by Sakaguchi Goho (1859-1923). father of Sakaguchi Ango. Although Sakaguchi Goho is known as a statesman, he was also a poet who wrote his poetry in classical Chinese. This study discusses his four Chinese poems which have bamboo for their material. By paying attention to the sources of which Goho made use, it becomes clear that what Goho wanted to express in these poems is his longing for seclusion or the world of hermits.},
