 note = {The aim of this study was to investigate retrospective time estimation in the elderly with dementia and the relationship between the time estimation and cognitive processing. For this purpose I examined their ability to estimate the elapse time of 30 minutes by using verbal time estimation method. The subjects were patients with dementia, patients with stroke or traumatic brain injury, and normal young controls. The results were as follows：(1) Patients with dementia substantially underestimated the time intervals. (2) The estimated time significantly correlated with neuropsychological test scores (HDS-R orientation task, CDR memory task, and RCPM set B task). These results suggest that dysfunctions of everyday memory including episodic memory have influences on the retrospective time estimation in dementia patients.},
