 note = {Currently, there are various Sports Trainer certifications in Japan. Qualified Sports Trainers are conducting training in different field of sports using their own expertise and skills as trainers. In this study, the author picks out 3 major Sports Trainer certifications and clarifies how those certifications came into existence and how are the different certifications interrelated by focusing on historical background and original purpose of Sports Trainer. In Japan, each certification system is independent and managed separately. As each trainer practices with his/her original methods alone, it is hard for one to establish cooperative ties with trainers of different fields. This problem arises from Sports Trainer driven system that is prevalent in Japan. To organize a divisional cooperation and to facilitate interaction, each trainer must make it a top priority to improve the performance of clients.},
