 note = {This is a study of Zen poems in classical Chinese made by Sakaguchi Goho (1859-1923), father of Sakaguchi Ango. Although Sakaguchi Goho is known as a statesman, he was also a poet who wrote his poetry in classical Chinese. This study discusses his five Chinese poems which have Zen as an important factor. By paying attention to the sources of which Gohō made use, it becomes clear that what Goho wanted to express in these poems is his longing for the unity of Zen and poetry.},
