To measure their construction of learning progress, the structural equation modeling was considered. The results of factor analysis revealed Japanese and Chinese students have social success in social pressure in common. The differences are Japanese students have self-actualization while Chinese students have parents' expectation. The results of structural equation modeling showed social success influence study strategy via training (utility) orientation of learning motivation both in Japanese and Chinese students.
