 note = {In this paper, we pay attention to factors in the possibility of movement or state and view the characteristic of meaning and the difference between ‘neng' and ‘hui'. ‘neng' and ‘hui' can both express the meaning of ‘have the possibility'. In conventional research, the characteristics of meaning of each when both express the meaning of ‘possibility' are not analyzed enough. In this paper, we pay attention to factors in the possibility of movement or state, and analyze the characteristics of the meaning of both, and classify both into two groups as when matters can be controlled by subjective intention and when matters cannot be controlled by subjective intention, and define the difference of ‘neng' and ‘hui'. As a result, we understand that we use ‘neng' when we emphasize external conditions, and use ‘hui' when we emphasize subjective intentions or the working of the situation. Furthermore, we also try to assess the conclusion as was pointed out in conventional research that ‘neng' has forwardness but in occasion of expressing non-expected negative images, we use ‘hui'.},
