Taking into account her figure as a feminist, this article explores the relationship between British feminism in the 1830s and Ophelia, the heroine of Hamlet. In her book, Shakespeare’s female characters are classified into four categories depending on their characteristics. Ophelia is labeled as Characters of Passion and Imagination. “Passion” and “Imagination” were traditionally considered as the masculine characteristics in the Western philosophy and aesthetics. In the context of feminism, they were essential elements to succeed in love. Considering these contexts, these characteristics are weak especially in Ophelia because she is an extremely passive heroine. Her passiveness seems to contradict with feminism. However, Jameson accomplished her aim in the depictions of Ophelia’s girlhood and a love relationship with Hamlet. It is typical for a feminist to put importance on these elements. Using a method typical for feminism, she developed her opinion through Ophelia. Overall, Ophelia’s passiveness is a preferable subject for Jameson to maintain her opinion as a feminist.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_7_full_name_3":{"attribute_name":"著者別名","attribute_value_mlt":[{"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"55774","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}],"names":[{"name":"Kazama, Ayaka"}]}]},"item_7_publisher_7":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"新潟大学大学院現代社会文化研究科"}]},"item_7_select_19":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_select_item":"publisher"}]},"item_7_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN1046766X","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_7_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"13458485","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"風間, 彩香"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"55773","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2019-08-06"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"61_85-102.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"334.1 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"61_85-102.pdf","url":"https://niigata-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/7381/files/61_85-102.pdf"},"version_id":"0b8a658a-6359-4848-9720-368e55332002"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"オフィーリア","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"アンナ・ジェイムソン","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"フェミニズム","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"シェイクスピア作品における女性登場人物","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"19世紀","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"19世紀英国のフェミニズム運動とオフィーリア : アンナ・ジェイムソン『道徳的、詩的、歴史的女性の特徴』を通して","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"19世紀英国のフェミニズム運動とオフィーリア : アンナ・ジェイムソン『道徳的、詩的、歴史的女性の特徴』を通して"},{"subitem_title":"19世紀英国のフェミニズム運動とオフィーリア : アンナ・ジェイムソン『道徳的、詩的、歴史的女性の特徴』を通して","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"7","owner":"1","path":["456","776"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2016-04-25"},"publish_date":"2016-04-25","publish_status":"0","recid":"7381","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["19世紀英国のフェミニズム運動とオフィーリア : アンナ・ジェイムソン『道徳的、詩的、歴史的女性の特徴』を通して"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":null},"updated":"2022-12-15T03:40:51.229798+00:00"}
