In 2000, the ratio of 65-year-old or older population exceeded 7% of total population. At the end of 2014, the ratio of 65-year-old or more reached to 10.1% or 3% higher than 2000 ratio. In order to improve this population structure, the Chinese government wholly admitted two-child policy which means that a couple may born up to 2 children.
