 note = {This article investigates the main decisions and achievements made at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held in July 2015 in Ufa city (Russia), which causes growing interest around the world. Special attention to the framework of these international organizations is paid to the regional security sphere of the SCO member states, the activities of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO RATS), and the main directions of cooperation in the sphere of security established in the adopted «SCO Development Strategy until 2025». Moreover, the author analyzes the pros and cons of admitting new member states, observers, and dialog partners states in the organization, and highlights the challenges that the SCO may face as a result of the expansion of the new member states.},
