Since the accident, the government of Japan has been reforming the electricity supply system in stages to reduce the independence on nuclear power.As an important measure, the Renewable Energy Feed-in Tariff system has been implementing from July 1, 2012.More than 4 years after the beginning of the Feed-in Tariff system,we can find the system significantly enhanced the usage of the renewable energy, especially the solar energy.We can see a decline in the cost of the renewable energy. Although the profits of the Feed-in Tariff system has been remarkable, it is also facing a lot of challenges. It is necessary to discuss the reform of the current Feed-in Tariff system implementations of Japan. In this paper, I will point out the problems of the Feed-in Tariff system of Japan. I will then discuss the reforms of the Feed-in Tariff system.
