 note = {The aspectual particle ZHE has always been one of the top topics in the grammatical research of modern Chinese. The main purpose of this paper is to discuss and explore the fundamental grammatical meaning of the particle as well as its semantic features. First、I will attempt to redefine the two aspectual properties which have been used in a misleading or ambiguous sense : the progressive and durative aspects and redefine them.Then based the redefinitions, I will analyze the grammatical meaning of ZHE and propose that the most fundamental grammatical meaning of ZHE is linear process. In addition､I will look at collocation examples of ZHE and verbs such as buy and send, and conclude\nthat the particle ZHE has four semantic features corresponding to incompleteness, continuity, dual of dynamic and static,and homogeneity.},
