However,with the increasing loss, some Guangdong merchants objected to the boycott.The majority of Chinese merchants in the other regions opposed to the boycott from the beginning to avoid their losses.They openly imported a large quantity of Japanese products.With the cooperation of some Guangdong merchants who were against the boycott, Japanese merchants directly exported Japanese products to Hong Kong and Guangdong Province.This study concludes that because of the lack of consensus among Chinese merchants, the boycott did not functioned well.By contrast, Japan made quite a few profit from the boycott.}, pages = {123--140}, title = {辰丸事件の対日ボイコット運動と中国商人}, volume = {64}, year = {2017} }
