Previous treatment of red blood cells (RBC) with ^<51>Cr did not interfere with the percentage of ^<99m>Tc-labeled RBC. When the previous treatment of RBC with ^<99m>Tc was carried out, the percentage of ^<51>Cr-labeled RBC was not altered. Previous treatment with large amounts of non-radioactive chromium (^<50>Cr) did not seem to alter the percentage of the ^<99m>Tc-labeled RBC, except for the highest concentration of ^<50>Cr. In this case RBC showed great morphological changes in optical microscopy.
