Of these, 178 (21.4%) excreted Schistosoma haematobium ova in their urine. School children were more infected than farmers and petty traders. Males were more infected than their female counterparts. These differences were statistically significant using chi-square test analysis (X^2). Most of the inhabitants had light infections. In all, urinary schistosomiasis and trichomoniasis co-infection occurred in the genito-urinary tract of 14 (6.3%) female inhabitants.
