In addition, viable cells were counted in flat mount retinal specimens prepared from enucleated eyes. / Results: The fluorescence intensity at the fundus decreased steadily after transient ischemia/reperfusion. Administration of edaravone and Trolox suppressed this decrease by approximately 20% on day 7.
