 note = {This paper describes the energy consumption of heating and cooling of the houses in Niigata district. The data used in this paper were measured continuously from November 2002 to March 2004. The results are as follows. (1) Compared with energy consumption of heating in 2003 and 2004, heating energy consumption in 2003 is larger than 2004, because it was a mild winter in 2004. Cooling energy consumption in 2003 when was a cool summer, was less than energy consumption in 2004. (2) The amount of energy consumption except of heating, cooling and hot-water supply in 2003 is almost the same as 2004. (3) A change of the amount of total energy consumption in 2003 and 2004 is based on the heating and cooling energy. (4) The relationship between indoor and outdoor temperature difference and the amount of energy consumption would be same if the air-conditioning operation conditions are comparable for both 2003 and 2004.},
