We analyze the post-war plan and the actual land use of each site. They are used as large parks, the civic center, the important industrial area, and residential area with public housings and public employee lodgings. They indirectly contributed to the land readjustment project and the new campus project of Nagoya University, too. And we can point out the following points. The conversion of military grounds was evaluated from a standpoint of urban planning. The provisional use of military grounds was seen. The consideration of urban planning raised a quality of space after conversion. The chaotic area was formed by the partial use.
