It asserts that it is important for each subject to clarify competencies based on the characteristics of the subject and to embody the method to nurture the clarified competencies. For this purpose, author developed lessons from three viewpoints. (1) Fostering awareness of problems based on concrete practices at schools, (2) Emphasis on dialogue with other people starting from listening to each other, and self-dialogue by utilizing reflection sheet, (3) Setting of curriculum development activities by teams of graduate students of different ages, different experiences. As a result, author succeeded in nurturing competencies that were clarified based on the characteristics of the subject of Theory and practice of curriculum development (① The ability to discover educational challenges at school scene and to explore the way of curriculum to solve the educational challenges, ② Advanced expertise on curriculum etc. ③ The ability to collaborate for curriculum development).
