The material parameters in the subloading surface model are idntified using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and the cyclic triaxial test data presented by Ishikawa et al. The standard deviations of the simulated axial strain and volumetric strain are calculated with the first-order second-moment method (FOSM). Even when change of the input material parameter in the case of analysis is small, in the stage where generation and cumulation of permanent strain are large, the variation of the material parameters may be amplified by about 10 times by the variation of simulation results.
