The fauna includes Artophormis gracilis, Lophocyrtis aspera group, Theocyrtis aff. setanios, and Theocorys bianulus. The radiolaria-dated Oligocene unit occupies the structurally lowest position in the imbricate stacks of the Hyuga Group.
