However, an auditory interface is ineffective for tasks that require the rapid recognition that vision enables. Thus, this paper presents a method to achieve rapid recognition with a non-visual user interface. This user interface is implemented to achieve a prototype fully controllable system of an RC helicopter for blind people by using a braille display as a tactile output device. This paper also explains the system integration software, named brl-drone, and hardware components of that system including the AR. Drone. The AR.
