 note = {「ケータイのディスプレイを見る行為」は,ケータイが本来持っている通信機能を越えて,現実空間での非言語的コミュニケーションに様々な役割を果たしている。この役割をさらに明らかにするため,大学生にアンケート調査を行った。公共空間において,連絡すべき用件があるわけでも,着信があるわけでも,すぐに見たいコンテンツがあるわけでもないのに,ケータイを取り出したくなるような経験を思い出してもらい,その理由を尋ねた。得られた回答り,「ケータイのディスプレイを見る行為」は,従来から存在する小物と同じようにケータイを利用する場合と,「誰かとつながっていること」を演出する狙いでケータイを使用する場合との,大きく2通りに分けられた。もうひとつの調査では,公共空間でのケータイあるいは他の小物の利用意向を尋ねた。その結果,被験者は,「誰かとつながっていること」を周囲にアピールする必要性が相対的に高い状況において,ケータイを取り出して操作する傾向にあった。この使用法は,ユーザが多重文脈性を「まとう」かのようにケータイを利用することがあると解釈可能であり,現代の対面的コミュニケーションに影響を与えていると考えられる。, The behavior of looking at "keitai" (mobile phone)displays' has played various roles in non-verbal communications in real spaces. To understand these roles, I administered one questionnaire to university students about the reason why they spontaneously look at "keitai" displays in public places, even when they have no business to communicate, no actual call or no web page to check in a hurry. The results showed that "keitai" usage can be largely separated into two cases; one case in which users handle "keitai" like conventional small objects that existed from the past, and another case in which users try to make others around them believe that they are 'communicating with somebody in another place.' Furthermore, I administered another questionnaire, in which I asked them to select whether they would handle a "keitai" or other small objects in a public place. The result indicated that "keitai" users tend to operate their own "keitai" in order to make others around them believe that they are 'communicating with somebody in another place.' Such the way to use "keitai" can be interpreted as the users occasionally operate "keitai" like 'wearing' Multi-Contextuality. It should be considered that the usage fairly affect our face-to-face communication today.},
