 note = {Since I have worked in the International Student Center(ISC) from the very inception all the trials were new to the students, ISC and me. I have tried to keep personal contacts with each student. I have tried to create the local networks among the groups who have something to do with students in order to enrich their lives particularly those of extracurricular nature. We tried to introduce varieties of historical and cultural aspects of Niigata. We have organized supports to students particularly at the arrival stage. The increase of number of international students in Niigata University surpassed the national level, realized double number within five years. But still there remain plenty of problems with them to be solved.},
