 note = {The Faculty of Science has reformed the curriculum for general and professional education. We instituted a questionnaire to all members of the freshman class on the following items for the improvement of education. (1) Present state of students. (2) Impression of this university. (3) Problems on the choice of an elective course. (4) Students' rating of teaching effectiveness. (5) Method and opinion for the improvement of education. The result of the questionnaire is summarized in this report. The students' evaluation of instruction is useful for the improvement of the education at our university.},
