 note = {To improve the curriculum for general and professional education, a questionnaire was instituted to all members of the freshman class on the following items; (1) present state of students, (2) impression of Niigata University, (3) problems on the choice of an elective course, (4) student's rating of teaching effectiveness and (5) method and opinion for the improvement of education. The result of the questionnaire is summarized in this report. Student's evaluation of instruction is useful for the improvement of the education at our university.},
