Three themes were selected and carried out. The three theams for out-door lecture were 1) Learning of rocks by collecting abondant rocks, minerals and fossil specimens in the campus of Faculty of Science, 2) Exercises on the beach of Japan Sea, and 3) Searching for relic trees and plants (living fossils) in the whole campus of Niigata University. This style of learning is very effective in studying natural sciences. Because most students have little such experiences during high school education in Japan. This class gave students very fresh impressions and encouraged them to learn related topics spontaneously. My phylosophy of education is the same as the following saying : to teach is to give emotion.}, pages = {44--50}, title = {野外実習を組み入れた実践的講義(地学主題)の試行 : 新潟大学の特色を活かした講義の模索(授業実践・教材開発)}, volume = {6}, year = {2001} }
