This fact urged the author to inquire if there is a similalr trend in other universities. In this article, the data of student's evaluation from 7 national universities were analyzed. As expected, the abovementioned trend was seen in 6 of 7 universities irrespective of the fields of subjects. The reason that the classes tend to receive better evaluation in the second term is discussed in relation to 1) an increased student's tolerance to classes that are quite different from those of high schools, 2) an augmented rate of absenteeism of students, and 3) a lowered collection rate of questionnaires. In view of the different quality of students as shown in this article, care must be taken in comparing the data of student evaluation between the first and second terms.}, pages = {117--123}, title = {学生による授業評価の平均値は後期に高くなる(調査・研究報告)}, volume = {8}, year = {2003} }
