Since then, universities have been struggled with how to organize general education system. But, general education is not achieved only through the formal curriculum reform, but through reading behavior of students. The purpose of this survey is to investigate the relationship between the reading behavior and reference groups of the period of graduate's attendance at Niigata University. Surveys are designed to mirror the reading behavior of their schooldays and that of now. Main finding is that the reason why young generation does not read books depends on a matter of individual taste of their generation, but at the same time reference group to read books among them died out of itself. So university teachers should not only guide reading book list, but also organize reference groups to cultivate the habit and method to read.}, pages = {65--77}, title = {<孤読化>する学生の読書行動 : 新潟大学卒業生調査から(調査・研究報告)}, volume = {9}, year = {2004} }
