The goal of the symposium was to improve the education and the research on biomedical ethics at Niigata University. Three faculties of Medicine, Law, and Humanities jointly designed the program. Four simposists were invited : Professor Noe (Tohoku University) started with the basic philosophical foundation of narratology ; Professor Onozaka (Niigata University) and Professor Tanase (Kyoto University) presented about narrative approaches in legal studies ; Professor Miyasaka (Niigata University) talked about health care narratology. There were around 100 audience participated and some joined discussion with speakers. We found possibility of the application of narrative concepts and methods presented here to biomedical ethics, especially to the improvement of teaching plans and methods. The symposium also encouraged us to challenge basic study to theoretical foundation of narrative-based medicine and health care.}, pages = {47--52}, title = {医療倫理並びに生命倫理の授業改善及び研究公開のためのシンポジウム「物語」というアプローチ : 「物語る臨床の知と生命の現場」開催報告(授業研究・教材開発)}, volume = {9}, year = {2004} }
